This month Richard Garriott launched off into space with a team of Russian astronauts to dock with the International Space Station. Whilst there, he completed many experiemnts designed by children from primary and secondary schools. Some children from Grove Primary School and St Michael's School had their experiments completed on the ISS and were able to follow the mission at school.
The winning experiments were:
Ryan Bull - wanted to know if you can receive radio signals in space
Praneeth Survana & Gemma Day - wanted Richard to find out what happens when you brush your teeth in space, can you gargle water and try to spit it in a sink?
Nadia Abukar and Lara Barrett - Wanted Richard to test whether he could space dance - ideally rock and roll in space.
Zoe Brown - wanted to know whether skipping can take place in space.
Holly Matthews - wanted Richard to do art in space
Callum Ross - wanted Richard to test whether a quartz watch would work in space
The children were all very excited to see their experiemnts taking place on the International Space Station and are looking forward to meeting Richard Garriott himself next month.
