Happy Birthday Darwin!

February 12th was Darwin’s Birthday; the whole school supported the team to give the students a fabulous day of fun, mind friendly learning activities on evolution. The timetable was suspended and in every lesson for every subject evolution was studied.

*Science                       Alchemy
*Music-                         From the gramophone to the ipod
*Maths –                       Codes and ciphers
*English –                    Development of language
*Art –                             Designing birds for different habitats
*DT-                               Evolution of shoes / Evolution or Revolution in food
*Resource base –      History of the camera, including a camera obscura!
*History-                       History/evolution of medicine

The evening saw the exhibition of students work at View Two Gallery in Mathew Street Liverpool. This was amazing, staff, students, parents as well VIP guests attended what can only be described as an “awesome experience

The sculptures, artwork and films were all on display. It looked sensational and it was hard to believe it was a school exhibition. Thanks must go to Ken Martin the owner of View Two, for allowing us the use of the gallery and working with Mr Simon Taylor (Art teacher) to ensure the work was displayed in a professional manner.
