Diary Entry - September 

 

This month was spent in planning for the project.

 

Some people may ask why such a lengthy period was needed for this. As a hospital school, we experience a constantly changing cohort of students; we also have to address issues such as medical confidentiality, which would not be encountered in a mainstream setting.

 

During September, therefore, we were engaged in consultation with the hospital authorities, and assessing the needs and abilities of our current group of students. This would decide which activities we could use to begin the project, while some decisions were still being made. This also informed which resources we ordered first as a matter of priority.
