Diary Entry - February

 

The aim of our project is to enthuse pupils at Bramhall High School to continue to study chemistry beyond GCSE.

To do this we are holding “fun and exciting” chemistry sessions alongside a chemistry trip and a visit to univerisity or industry for the pupils.

Ben Anstey from a Solar Company in Reading came to speak to the pupils involved in the Rolls Royce Project. He discussed how his chemistry degree helps him in his job, what solar panels and cells do and the future of solar applications. The pupils were very interested and many stayed behind to ask him questions and look at some models he had brought along with him.

Planning for future events is currently well underway.
