A Rock Festival

We  continued to have a very busy time! This term’s theme has been based on material science under the umbrella term ‘A Rock Festival’. Lots of entries were handed in as part of the rock competitions. STEMM and SALT teams worked exceptionally hard putting together an entertaining programme that was literally ‘singing and dancing’ there was singing about material science, dances about material science , news items about material science, poems about material science ,a fabulous play about the first moon-landing and it culminated in the announcement of the winners and prize-giving.

Great news. Alan Rowse  (who is the head of the technology department of the University of Wales, Newport), has confirmed that he has a team of student teachers ready and waiting to work with us on the design and activation of the ‘SALT Sellers’- interactive science action points to be installed around the school.
