Diary Entry - November

This month the team has been working with the students to finalise the technology they want to adopt in their model eco homes. An industry link has been established between Keele University and the school. The students will be combining with year 9 Geography pupils for a day of activities focussed on the environment and sustainable issues. The visit is planned for the new year and it is hoped that the pupils can gain a greater appreciation of how eco friendly technologies can impact the environment on a wider scale. The team is still awaiting a visit from Stoke-On-Trent city council regarding an energy audit however in the shorter term the students have been indepently researching how a Carbon footprint calculation is performed.
