Overview

The team at Kibworth Primary School will create a network of Teaching Assistants (TAs) across six local primary schools. This network will share knowledge and skills across the schools to allow TAs to improve their scientific skills and promote the support of science lessons.

A series of seminars will be run followed by peer observations and the creation of a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) for the TAs to share their ideas and experiences.

Judges’ comments

This is an innovative idea that targets an often-overlooked area of primary school staff. The project is extremely ambitious and has the potential to improve the teaching and learning across a large number of schools.
