Dr Angie Dabbs - Angie is an Advanced Skills Teacher in English. She attended the York Science Learning Centre this year to undertake further training on implementing a Coaching Programme within school. As a result of this course, she has been instrumental in preparing a bid to secure further funds to develop Science teaching. She is committed to professional development and is always looking for ways to enthuse children’s learning.
Mrs Chris May - Chris has been a Deputy Head at Moulton for over 10 years and has held many positions of responsibility within the school. She is responsible for developing the curriculum and assessment, recording, reporting and achievement. Chris has a passion for raising student attainment and regularly gives her time to help both teachers and students. She is an experienced coach and has delivered, ‘Leading from the Middle’ training within the school. Chris’s expertise will underpin the implementation of the coaching programme.
Mr Matthew Pinder - A highly respected and valuable member of the Science Faculty. His knowledge and expertise in delivering the Science curriculum has led to a number of key responsibility posts within school. He is our Professional Tutor for Science, and the Lead teacher for Gifted and Talented students. He has significant experience organising large-scale projects of this kind and has just completed project managing our whole school Science Challenge Day.
Mr Adam Drew - Every pupil’s dream teacher! His interactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching ‘wows’ all of his students. His lessons do literally, ‘go with a bang!’ This year one of his students has nominated him for the BBC ‘Teacher of the Year’ award. He is thoroughly motivated to continual professional development and will be a genuine asset to the team.
Miss Rosie Eke - A vibrant and energetic classroom practitioner. She strives to engage pupils in her lessons with her real life stories and an enthusiastic approach to Science. As Key Stage 3 Coordinator, Rosie has successfully introduced the new Key Stage 3 curriculum and undertaken the demands of the new government initiative, APP (Assessing Pupils’ Progress.) She has experience of organising whole year events and was responsible for a Year 9 EBLO day (Education Business Link Organisation.) She regularly gives up her time to support pupils and runs our Year 7 Science Club.
Mr Dominic Lowe - Committed to student learning and professional development. He is undertaking a MEd at the University of Birmingham with a focus on homework, marking and Bloom’s taxonomy. He has a particular interest in Active Learning and teaching Science through Discovery Learning. He has been chosen to mentor an NQT next year to help with the successful completion of his first year of teaching. He will become a valuable part of the Science coaching team and his positive approach will be of great benefit to the Crime Fighting with Forensic Science Project.
