Following the INSET training on the development of learning and teaching Science vocabulary resources were created for each class in school. These boxes included a variety of resources for multi sensory activities such as : word and picture cards, bingo boards, loop games, shaving foam, coloured pens, magnetic letters and boards, 3D models and matching games. A lot of time and creativity was used in creating these boxes and we are looking forward to using them within the classroom.
Our joint learning activities for parents and children continued with a Knex bridge building course. Families learnt about different kinds of bridges and also discovered how the design of the bridges impacted on the amount of weight they could hold.
Mums are continuing to work hard to create the science themed story sacks, 7 weeks into the creative textiles course.
The Science Prize team are now reviewing the progress of the project so far and making plans for the second half of the project. Watch this space for exciting developments.
