Spring is bringing with it a time of celebration! Our parents group have now completed and produced their Science themed story sacks which they will be presenting and sharing with the children on Monday the 22nd of March. These sacks include a story book, games and activities. We are so pleased with the parents keen contribution to the project.
We have been working hard on the outdoor sensory area. A great deal of time has been spent collecting the best available resources, clearing out the area and getting creative! Work has already started and we are looking forward to the working party on Saturday the 20th of March. The day will be spent hanging a variety of visual stimuli, preparing plant beds, putting up screening and clearing out storage space. This preparation time will prepare us for ‘Outdoor Learning Week’ which takes place 22nd – 26th of March. During this week the children will be getting creative and making their contribution to their own outdoor learning space through planned activities which include planting, painting plant pots, creating a large mosaic and decorating windmills.
By involving teachers, parents and most importantly the children themselves in developing this space, it is hoped that a real sense of pride will be felt at the grand opening on Friday 26th of March.
