Robin James, Science Subject Leader, in second year of training at the National Science Centre in York and a keen gardener and recycler. Desire to engage the children’s interest and improve their investigative skills through a project that combines Science and Technology.
Paul Gosling, the school's headteacher, is a biologist (BSc) and enthusiastic amateur naturalist who is keen to improve the site to provide more opportunities for outdoor learning.
Beverley Alderson, the deputy headteacher, has signed the school up to Food For Life and sees the mini-greenhouse project as the ideal parallel project - encouraging children to think about how food has reached the table, and contribute to its production.
Frances Pearce is a passionate and experienced gardener who has been involved with the school for a number of years.
Debbie Coles is a longstanding allotment holder and one of many TAs who will offer interest, enthusiasm and creative ideas to the project.
Perrin Fox, Foundation Year Teacher, has recently attended a training course on learning in the outdoor environment, and as well as ensuring the involvement of the very youngest children, is hugely enthusiastic about extending the good practice already started in Foundation further up the school.
